How to be a learning developer in HE: Cultivating Criticality

£0.00

Event Date: 28/05/2025
Event Time: 15:00 to 16:00

As part of our ongoing series of talks celebrating the first anniversary of the publication of How to be a learning developer in HE book, we join authors from the Cultivating Criticality section of the book.

We’re delighted to catch up with Sunny Dhillon, Anne-Marie Longford, Emma Kimberly, Ryan Arthur and Gordon Asher. They’ll be reflecting on a wide range of themes relating to Cultivating Criticality: from critical self-reflection, to practice and policy in relation to LD and EDI, to race and closing the gap, and critical academic literacies in the face of neoliberalism.

In the face of international and national influences that seem to be working even harder to challenge and undermine critical practices, join this community discussion and reflection and let’s connect with each other in our communal determination to keep cultivating criticality. Get signed up and bring your questions. We look forward to seeing you on the 28th May.

Alicja and Carina posed some questions about the book in the first talk on How to be a learning developer in HE: Behind the curtain. Whether you can make the talks or not, we’d love for the LD community to share any reflections and observations in response to their questions via this padlet
