Event Time: 12:00 to 13:00

Poetry can bring people together, offering a sense of belonging and supporting both personal and professional growth. In Learning Development, poetry provides a creative way to reflect on practice, fostering a deeper connection between staff and students. By exploring different forms of poetry, participants will learn how to express thoughts and emotions in ways that promote self-reflection and professional development. This session will also show how poetry can be used to engage with diverse learners, helping to make sense of their educational journeys while enhancing the overall learning experience. The workshop will highlight how poetry can foster a sense of community and collaboration among staff, offering new perspectives on how we work in partnership with students. Sam’s session encourages critical reflection, continuous learning, and a commitment to professional growth, aligning with the values of Learning Development.
